Bio
José Lara is an advertising photographer with over 23 years of experience in fashion, editorial, real estate and commercial photography and videography, with an emphasis on a clean and colorful product. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, José developed a passion for photography in his early adulthood and formalized his education at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, GA. He established his advertising photography practice in Puerto Rico and is recognized for his work with the leading local newspapers, magazines, fashion designers, department stores, and ad agencies.
His clean and product-oriented photography, and warm and friendly personality, have gained the trust of his customers with mayor campaigns, although no job is too small for him. Always attentive to new technology and trends, he has maintained his consumer-base for years. As a photographer with a strong commitment to his profession, José’s studio in Puerto Rico was also a site where local universities and colleges would send their graduate photography students to practice.
José recently expanded his services to the Orlando / Florida area, where he is looking to continue to promote his passion for bringing to life his clients’ advertising needs through the “creative-to-editing” photography and videography process.
